About TS Gambia

Proudly Serving Auckland Youth Since 1967

Founded in 1967 by former members of HMNZS Gambia's ship's company, TS Gambia has spent decades helping young people develop confidence, leadership, discipline, and teamwork through the New Zealand Cadet Forces.

Named after the distinguished cruiser HMS Gambia, our unit has grown from humble beginnings at the Otahuhu Community Centre into one of Auckland's longest-serving Sea Cadet units.

Today, we continue that proud tradition by providing opportunities for adventure, personal development, and lifelong friendships for the next generation of cadets.
